All CIP-functions at a glance

The CIP (Car Lock Systems Immo Programmer) is the indispensable tool for every workshop. Programming, diagnoses and coding for almost all car makes and models without waiting time!

With the CIP, you can carry out many different types of programming remotely in your own workshop (with an Internet connection).

There are 2 ways to quickly see what services we can offer for a particular vehicle:

Via our webshop: Log into our webshop and enter the chassis number.

Via the CIP portal: Do you already have a CIP? Then connect it to the vehicle via the OBD port and go to the portal: https://cip.obd.help.

In both cases, you will immediately see which programming services we can offer for that vehicle. Below is an overview of the most commonly used services.

Programming of car keys and handheld transmitters

We developed the CIP with our partner Jifeline to make your workshop even more self-sufficient. This handy tool programs car keys for almost all car makes while keeping the car in one place. Our specialists ‘take over’ the vehicle from you and programme the keys in no time. You no longer need to drive the car to a (different) brand dealer which saves significantly in cost and time. All you have to do is turn the keys in the ignition at the instruction of our remote specialist.

When you order a car key from Car Lock Systems, you will see from the CIP icon whether this car key is CIP-compatible. If necessary, you can request the programming service for this key immediately when you order the key. As soon as you then come online with that vehicle, the key programming can be carried out immediately.

Pre-coding and programming Code-2 car keys

Some car brands still pre-programme car keys at the factory. This is done using what is known as ‘pre-coding’ based on data known only to the manufacturer. A disadvantage, therefore, is that only the manufacturer can programme the car keys. In the event of heavy traffic, waiting times can reach several weeks and sometimes even months. And that while your customer wants to drive fast!

Think for example of Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, Iveco and all other Fiat-based brands. Car Lock Systems offers a special (in-house developed) key/hand transmitter by code. Through the CIP, our specialist remotely removes the pre-coding from the car. You then insert the new car key into the reading ring of the CIP. This provides the transponder with the correct coding within minutes. No other tool can pre-programme online in the same way. We then programme the key with the car. Within 24 hours, you will have a new code-2 car key programmed at a very attractive price!

Getting the PIN/transponder code from the vehicle

The CIP can also read pin/transponder codes from the car for a whole range of brands. This offers a great advantage when, for example, ECUs or control units have been replaced in the car. The codes stored in the factory during production are then often no longer correct. By extracting them directly from the car, you avoid malfunctions.

Performing diagnostics and interval resets

The CIP is much more than a programming device for car keys. You can also use the CIP for additional diagnostic and programming services. In fact, the CIP can also perform diagnostics for malfunctions and service interval resets of ‘unknown’ brands. Some of the various remote CIP services:

  • Calibration of vehicle components (e.g. ADAS systems)
  • Headlamp programming
  • Programming towbars
  • Programming airbags
  • Atomiser adjustments
  • Reading and erasing fault codes (DTC)
  • Programming of modules
  • Software updates
